It’s been a pretty full on week this week, with deadlines looming and numerous accounts and uploads needing updating.
Thanks to our original distributor who seemed to mess up our titles from day one, we’re in the process of moving away from their disaster zone, which means a lot of extra work! Thankfully, the paperbacks etc are sorted, thanks to our amazing new printer (thank you, thank you, thank you!), but we’re now in the process of dealing with all the ebook versions.
So far this week I’ve managed to get ur Kindle editions back up and running (with all our original reviews back, yay – you may have read about the saga of us losing all these thanks to our awful distributor), as well as getting a version on to Apple iTunes – wow, they do not make it easy and for such a large company, their processes are truly awful! It took me three days (three!) to get the account and the book information uploaded… in comparison, Kindle took me an hour from start to finish!
Next week, I’m tackling Kobo and Nook. It’s frustrating to now have four different channels to deal with when it comes to sales info and uploads, but in the long run it will actually save me time as we now have full control over our own titles, rather than leaving it to some unhelpful and seemingly incompetent distributor!
Ah well, we live and learn! Onwards and upwards, and all that jazz!
