More dyslexia friendly books heading off from the printer to their new homes (both bookstores and readers alike). We’re on a roll, ladies and gentleman!
Having fried my brain during marketing week, I just wanted to shout out a huge thank you to all those individuals and bookstores who ordered our books over the last month, from ebooks to our dyslexia…
Someone asked me how we came to be called Scorpius Books the other day and it has quite a simple answer really.
I’ve been up to my eyebrows in tasks this week, what with it being the end of the month and all. Marketing, editing, emails, reviews, printers, distributors… phew.
A while ago, Writing.ie featured a guest blog post by us here at Scorpius on our dyslexia-friendly editions and the feedback we had from that was amazing.
‘ve been clearing out the office lately (trying to get some more organised storage in here) and in a box of random personal bits and bobs, I found one of those ‘name meaning’ cards I must have had for years and completely forgot I had.
…This is one of our favourite things. Retribution Darkened arrived from our new printers this morning after a painful process of removing it from the system of our old ‘they who shall not be named’ printers, who, quite frankly, were awful!
Well, we’re back in the office and raring to go! There’s something refreshing about a new year and a new start – I’m not one for resolutions (does anyone keep those beyond two weeks?), but I do like to set goals and work towards them (which hasn’t been easy during a pandemic!), so here’s hoping 2022 helps me meet a few more of these:
Sometimes we sit around poking at the holes in our socks, dreaming of the day when we earn a living wage and can afford giant ads on the sides of London buses…
Armed with coffee and a panini, I had a full diary this morning (along with the added addition of homeschooling) and what do I find as I enter the office?
